We've covered so many tools in this class so far, and though I doubt I will end up using most of them following completion of this course, there are some that I've found especially helpful and intend to explore further in the future. For example, I'm really enjoying Reddit right now, both for the multitude of different topics available and the breadth and depth of responses to questions or thoughts that people post. Likewise, I'm finding a lot of useful information and functionality on Twitter that I was heretofore unaware of. I can definitely see myself using both of these tools well after the completion of this class. Conversely, some tools, don't really speak to me. Instagram for instance appears to be based around images and I'm more of a wordy gal. Still, I'm glad I'm aware of it and the potential it has to reach a specific audience.
I'm curious, what tools do you see yourself using/not using beyond this course, and why?
I agree that I am enjoying instagram but I am not sure if would use it as much. I appreciate that Abby set up the Marco Polo app. I am now using that with family. I think I prefer short videos to pictures.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely looking to spend more time with diigo which I would like to continue. Although, I may try out some of the others mentioned on the spark page to decide which I like best.
I like twitter more than I thought I would so still brainstorming there.
Hey! I just signed up for diigo as well and looking forward to learning more about it. There are so many tools, it can feel overwhelming, but this one looks simple and thus, promising!
DeleteKnowing about a lot of tools is a powerful position to be in. I'm a word gal, too, so Insta is not really my place, but I've found it really useful for broadcasting messages. And there you go! There was a time and place for it. We'll explore Diigo together with a challenge (yes!) next week.
